Thrillers

5.0 out of 5 stars A Review of "To Kill Is Not Enough" by H. Carmichael,January 19, 2010
This is an exquisitely well-written, fast-paced, "edge-of-your-seat" hero novel. Readers will cheer Flint Wolfe on through every encounter and hold their breath to see if he makes it through every time. In particular, the vivid descriptions of every scene, the humanization of each character through his or her emotional baggage, and suspenseful encounters on almost every page will draw your readers in so that they won't be able to put this book down. I thoroughly enjoyed the manuscript, as it allowed me to see just what Wolfe would get himself out of next on his crusade to save the world from terrorists. In my opinion, the world would be a better place if a real Flint Wolfe existed.

Malaysia Flight 666 is missing. An airbus A380 with five hundred passengers on board just vanishes. There's no wreckage, no distress call--nothing.
Unfortunately, President Oetari doesn't have time for air disasters. He's working on a nuclear deal with the Iranians that will bring peace to the Middle East. He sends one of his least favorite CIA operatives to find the missing jet. That should keep Slade out of sight and out of mind. Little does the president or Slade realize that the missing airliner is the lynchpin for a global conspiracy that will alter the balance of power in the Middle East. 5.0 out of 5 stars A realistic, exciting theory on how a plane can disappear without a trace! March 17, 2015 By Gloria Tehven I really liked this book. While I know it was fiction, it seemed very realistic, especially in view of current news.. Christopher Anderson must have a lot of insight into current events and possibilities, plus knowledge about airplanes, submarines, etc. and what they can and cannot do. One refreshing thing about his characters is that they are just as active as spies, secret agents, etc. in other action novels, but the reader is not subjected to boring "sex" scenes. If you like action novels, you'll like this book. You may not agree with everything political that you read in the book, that's o.k. It is still a great read! KINDLE PAPERBACK |

THE FIRST CHAPTER OF THE MAHDI TRILOGY: Flint Wolfe is back on assignment. His job is to stop the rise of a new Caliphate. He is on his way into the lion's den, Tehran, to assassinate the Grand Mufti Aziz and inflame the divisions between Shia and Sunni. That, it is hoped, will stop the now nuclear Caliphate from growing into a legitimate threat in the Middle East. Flint goes forward with his mission, but the deeper he gets into it the more obvious it is that he's being played. Someone is guiding this operation and the results are not going to be what the planners expect, but who is it and what is their end game?

THE SECOND CHAPTER OF THE MAHDI TRILOGY: Flint Wolfe is at the heart of the Caliphate, but he's running out of time. The mysterious Mahdi is looking more and more like a reality and less like a propaganda tool. Wolfe is trapped within the invasion of Israel while the USS Enterprise, the symbol of Western might and defender of democracy is trapped in the Suez Canal.
The Caliphate throws hordes of zealots at the Big E heedless of the thousands of dead, all in a demented attempt to overthrow the very symbol of Western might. Trapped beyond hope, with a Commander in Chief reluctant to support her, can the Enterprise withstand the hordes of jihadists? Can Flint Wolfe survive the nefarious designs of Colonel Nikahd long enough to aid Big Jake Garner and the brave men and women of Fortress Enterprise?

THE FINAL CHAPTER IN THE MAHDI TRILOGY: The epic climax to Flint Wolfe's career. The jihad comes to America as the Mahdi himself comes to the world. As the power of the Caliphate grows and the Western world argues as to how to meet it a firestorm of biblical proportions is coming. Even if they did believe Wolfe, the Magnificent Thirteen, the powerful cabal that taught Flint that To Kill is Not Enough, have a vested interest in the Mahdi.
It's a showdown between the Mystical East and the Modern West, between evil an the Western world that has lost it's faith. Between the two is the shadowy cabal that doesn't care who wins so long as they inherit power.
There's no turning back. Civilization will never be the same. Can Flint Wolfe steer it in a direction that saves civilization or will the world fall into barbarism?
