Lone Pup is the only surviving member of a clutch of eggs. His parents Strong Jaw and Mother Protector will do anything to keep him safe, but how can they protect him against the Angry Mountain that seems to dog his steps no matter where they take him?

Having somehow survived his first years Lone Pup now must guard the new clutch of eggs laid by Mother Protector. That not an easy task when the local clan of Raptors wants to destroy them and take over the Tyrannosaurus clan's hunting grounds.
